1Effective berthing energy of vessel

2Reaction force allowed by the berthing structure

3Maximum hull pressure the vessel can withstand

4Position and area for the fender system to protect

5Natural environment (including wind, current and wave, etc.)

2 .Required information

1Vessel type: general cargo vessel, oil tank, container ship, bulk cargo carrier, ferry, cruise and workboat, etc.

2Weight: gross tonnage, dead weight tonnage, displacement, etc.

3Length of vessel

4Width of vessel

5Depth of vessel

6Laden draft

7Free board

3 .Berthing structure

1Type: wharf, jetty, pier, etc.

2Construction: pile type, gravity type

3Elevation: top deck ( plat form ) level, high water level and low water level For existing quay structure,

following additional information is also needed:

4Space for fender installation at the relative elevation above sea level

5Allowable horizontal impact force acting on the structure

4 .Natural conditions

1)Wind: direction and speed

3)Wave: height, period and direction
